    Toilet over load

No swimming are view was a dirty empty pool that was one of the reasons I booked their for my grandchildren so they could swimming on are off time from the boardwalk. Couldn't sleep the pull down shade didn't block the lights at night, worst of all the toilet was backed upon are second day asked them twice to send a plumber never heard from them no apology no nothing .very disappointed worst vac. Anyone with teenagers will know what I mean. The pictures show modern rooms. Some kind of breakfast nothing not even coffee.

    Not great...

No one was at the desk when we checked in. There was a note on the window to call. I called 3 times and left a voice mail and no on called me back. Finally I called the number for the hotel on hotels.com and someone answered and said they would be there in a minute. The pool was about 1/4 full and brown so no swimming either. There was a basketball size hole in the floor right in front of the bathroom where they put vinyl flooring right over a hole so the vinyl flooring was cracked and broken and you foot would sink in everytime you walked in that area. Everything else in the room was brand new the Heat & Air worked great. You could tell the flooring was new too just strange that they wouldn't fill the hole before putting thin vinyl over the top.

Good but can use better floor cleaning

I believe they need to do a better job cleaning the floor because there was a lot of sand and the floor felt pretty.

    Not worth it!!

It was ok …they gave u a the wrong type of room when we first got there and then when I called them about it they hung up on me me three times (very odd behavior felt like it was a prank) after going to the window/counter in person he seemed surprised to see me and then explained he didn’t know what was happening and then changed my room. They half updated the rooms and good luck with needing a mirror or decent toiletries. Only one trash can for the whole room and there was no pool at all. In fact I was told there was but it was completely empty (no surprise) the owners seems to live there and use there location as a license to be rude. Won’t be be back suggest you spend that extra 50.00 for better service, quality and amenities elsewhere!

I’d rather stay at the Bates Motel

First off, the hotel does not look like the pictures on this site. The pictures show it to be so much nicer. Parking here is a nightmare. There isn’t enough parking for the guests staying at this hotel. We had to drive around looking for parking. If I am paying over $100 for a room, I expect a parking space. Going up to our room there was a strong smell of urine. There is the brightest light that stay on all night outside the room. It shines so much light all night and the blinds are so thin that they are useless. Also, the blinds are so thin that people can still look through the window and see everything. The worst part was the noise of doors slamming and food steps all night. There is no third floor but it feels like there is because you can hear every sound and people stomping around. I couldn’t sleep and I would rather pay more for a nicer hotel than stay here again.

    Shower head just a trickle😳

You get what you pay for. Torch Light looked newly remodeled so I thought I would give the 2 1/2 stars hotel a try. We usually stick to 3 stars and up. The only problem I’d say was if your gonna upgrade your hotel rooms don’t forget about the shower head. It was just a trickle. My husband thought I was exaggerating but he found it was worse than I said. Plan on a loooong shower, as it will take forever to rinse off!

Room was located at end of hallway next to motel's laundry room so it didn't get much light and smelled old and stuffy.

    Beware. Santa Cruz Flats

Checked into room 206. Lugged our stuff up the stairs (no elevator, but whatever). Open the door, room is a mess. Bed has been slept in, dirty towels on the floor. I call front desk to tell them "Oh, come back down I'll give you a different room" Unapologetic for the situation I thought. OK now we are assigned room 205. Back we go. Nowhere to put suitcases in the room. No stand, no closet, hangers, nothing. Put them on the floor. Venture out to check out the pool. It's flipping EMPTY, with the exception of a small malaria pond. Nowhere in the booking process did it say the pool was inoperable. I was pissed. And no it's not because of COVID, our friends stayed directly across the street at the Solaris and they had a functional sparkling pool. Bedtime: 1 sheet and blanket. No extra blankets in room. Tossing all night because the "curtain" is so sheer that there is no escape from the bright lights from outside. Time to shower in the AM. I grab a clean towel and the underside had a wad of black hair in it. Not mine! Gross! Oh, there's no hairdryer either. Get my wrinkled sundress out of my suitcase on the floor, no iron or ironing board! I'll go sit on the bed while my husband gets ready & have coffee. NOPE. No coffee maker. That was about the time the housekeeper WALKS INTO our room without knocking! I was so damn irritated with this place. We get our crap and get out, down to the parking stall. OUR CAR HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO. No joke, This place couldn't get worse.
