Cozy Inn
Ruby Inn is super clean and cozy. The desk attendant was friendly and the room itself had a lot of nice thoughtful touches, plenty of towels stored in a drawer, nice firm beds and pillows, a convenient and working mini fridge located under bathroom sink, the sink separated by a door from tub and toilet - convenient as there were 4 women! The room was compact but complete, altogether a great experience! We rolled in about 8:30 pm on a Saturday night and had a great meal (burgers and fries) at the Sportsmen's Bar and Grill a half block away. The next morning we a tasty breakfast about 25 min south at the Virginia Creek Settlement Restaurant.

A little gem
Stayed here for 1 night on our trip around Yosemite. We loved this cozy motel. Very kindly spoken gentleman at the office. Origami towels in the bathroom. HUGE TV in the rooms with good selection of channels. Everything was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is a little unusual; self-served from the office in a to-go fashion, to be had in the yard or in-room.

Clean, but overpriced rooms; Rude owner
Rooms were clean and comfortable enough, but beyond overpriced for the quality and age of the property, especially considering this was during the (very) low season. The owner was also extremely rude at check-in and seemed to resent us for using to book our stay. I understand why establishment owners would prefer customers to book directly, but if you're going to list on sites like, don't treat your customers differently or complain about the fees.

Cute place and excellent location for this area. Rooms could use an update, but clean overall. We stayed here as we were in the area to visit the Ghost Town Bodie. This hotel is a great location in a very cute small town. Great restaurants, Sports Bar and some interesting stores. I would stay here again. Plan to go when the town of Bridgeport has an event planned, it is a fun place with may down home events planned during the non-winter months.
