Nice hotel, off the beaten path
This is a beautiful hotel, with nicely appointed rooms that are fairly large. Area is quiet and a nice breakfast is included. It is close to the Univ. of Rome, but not near typical tourist areas or restaurants. You need to take a cab to get to most things. Negatives are that the bed is very firm and the internet did not work in our room (TV worked on and off).

Beautiful but not 4 star
Definitely not a 4 star. The small rooms are actually tiny and the AC doesn't work very well. Though the thermostat was set at 19, my wife and I were sweating in the room. It wasn't even possible to reduce the temperature below 19. Breakfast was decent, but definitely not 4 star level. One doesn't serve customers coffee from an espresso machine in a 4 star hotel. My biggest complaint was the lack of action when I complained twice about the bath tub being blocked in my parent's room.

Terrible Experience
I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience with fellow travelers. I decided to extend my stay in Rome to finish sightseeing and booked this hotel for one night. Upon arrival, the staff informed me that the building had electrical issues on the first floor and rebooked me to another '4 stars' hotel. I understand things happen and some things are beyond their control. However, a email would of been appreciated with the new hotel details, so I may rebook if need be. Since my girlfriend and I already spent 35 minutes making our way there and considering it's our last day in Rome - we weren't going to waste anytime and bit the bullet. The replacement hotel was promised to be '4 stars' but it is 2.5 stars at best. I wasn't expecting the Ritz but it's comparable to Motel 6. Besides the lobby and back patio area being somewhat trendy, the room we are staying in need of a serious update and deep cleaning. The internet is terrible! Can't even stay online for more than 15 minutes to rebook our flights. On top of it, it's located in a sketchy neighborhood. There are other hotels that we can find with the same price range, better rooms and locations. It is very upsetting to have our time wasted like this. Truly the worst hotel experience I had thus far.
