    Wonderful stay!
We had a gorgeous view from our room, which was on the small side but very clean and comfy with an updated bathroom with a real full-sized shower (unusual for a European hotel). The roof-top garden was a wonderful place to relax and unwind with great view of the city, Vesuvius, and Capri. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful - they even accomodated an early check-in for us. I highly recommend this special hotel!

    Quintessential Italy
This hotel is a former convent that has been beautifully restored and maintained. The rooms a quintessentially European. The rooftop deck and pool are wonderful and the perfect place to enjoy beautiful views of the Naples bay. The area surrounding the hotel isn’t very nice... lots of trash on the streets and graffiti on buildings. But, then again, most of Naples looks like that. It was a short walk to the funicular, and for €1.30, you rode down to the vibrant, and walkable, historic district. We walked that area, as well as the area along the waterfront and never felt unsafe. The cost of a taxi to the airport is a set fee - €28.50. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

    Great Views
This was our first stop of a two week trip to Italy. We stayed two nights. Night one we were so exhausted we could barely stay up for dinner at the hotel restaurant that opened at 7:30. But the meal was great and it was literally steps from our room. The view from our room, including the shower, was amazing - overlooking the city of Naples, the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The rooftop pool area was beautiful and views were amazing as well. The things I wished were different: the blow dryer (I think it is really old; it was strange), the bed was hard which we don't prefer, and it was a walk straight down steep streets to get to the water and areas where most activities were. We got our steps in for the day, and also cheated death in the taxis when we didn't want to walk.

    Nice hotel, undesirable area
The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are big. However, I do NOT recommend the area. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and I do not recommend walking in the area after dark. Taxi's are hard to find and the closest public transportation closes at 10:00 pm. I would recommend skipping Naples and look at visiting the nearby island of Ischia.

    History filled hotel
Beautiful hotel, it felt like we were staying in a museum. Take the time to explore the floors of the hotel, it's quite lovely. I wish this hotel was down on the Bay of Naples in a more desirable walking area. However, the views from this hotel are second to none.
