Lack of curtesy and communication.
Mostly everything was good after the check-in process. However, when we got to the hotel we were told that our room had been recently repainted and that they were going to be moving us to another hotel for 1 night and provide taxi’s and a free breakfast for us because of it. I wish this had been previously communicated somehow because we were tired from travel and just wanted to be in our room. Okay sure, we stayed at the other hotel and we were told to have the other hotel call Central Park Hotel when we were ready for our taxi back. This would have been a nice gesture however we got a call at 9am saying our taxi was there. We get outside and no one is there. By the time we had finally gotten back to CPH it had been an hour, even after the second hotel called multiple times. The other hotel was only 3-4 blocks away so it should not have taken that long. We got there and the room still wasn’t ready for our arrival. After an hour and 45 minutes of waiting we finally were able to get into our room. We had a limited time in London, so we had to waste an entire morning due to this. And no one once said sorry. When we asked if the hotel could do anything as a kind gesture for the inconvenience, we were told “No because we already said sorry” Also, the breakfast that we were given for the initial issue, wasn’t even the full breakfast. It was only one half of the breakfast options. There was no AC at all. We were just disappointed in the lack of customer service from the staff.

The room was small. There was less than 6 inches between the bed and the desk. The bathroom is incredibly cramped, the shower slippery. They overcharge to an incredible degree. The charge to launder a shirt is 5 pounds, each; I paid less in the middle of the North Sea. Breakfast is available but not included. Fortunately there’s a Pret two blocks away. If you ask for a cab they set you up with a car service that seems to charge 75% more than the typical London Black Taxi. You can get a good meal in the bar that is not quite outrageously expensive. The service staff seems decent enough but the concierge is arrogant. The location is good but not enough to make up for the cost.

Smart, clean hotel. Room heating/air was weak so we had to open the window. Should’ve realized there was a problem when we saw a table fan on the bureau. Lots of outlets in the room. Always appreciate an electric kettle with tea and coffee to have in the room. The small refrigerator was great to have as well. Bed was not very comfortable. My nieces mattress/box springs was broken but they did the right thing and moved her into a better room. The bathroom and shower were very good.
