Gem of a hotel in quiet Madrid neighborhood
I attended a conference at nearby URJC campus, and the university was within walkable distance of this hotel. The metro stop Alsacia was a short walk to the hotel and the lit sign helped us find the hotel right away when we didn't have our bearings yet. The Alsacia metro trip to the Centro took only 30 minutes to Opera, for example, and trains came reliably every 4-5 minutes - never a wait. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, most had good English language skills to help us. The cafe inside the restaurant had friendly staff too, and good, tasty, and reasonably priced food. The rooms were spacious with a good sized desk and mini-fridge, big closets, a room safe, a big and well-appointed bathroom with excellent plumbing, lots of lights, and we had a wonderful city view. I would stay at this hotel again! We liked staying in a Madrid neighborhood, with good services (friendly groceries) and a mall nearby. The hotel is a quick taxi ride to the Madrid airport, which we took on an early Sunday morning on our return, but we also reached the hotel by Metro with our 7 day metro card from the airport at arrival and it was easy. The neighborhood is great and is a friendly and cost effective place for families to stay as well as for business travel.

I did not like that because apparently there was workshops or meeting works bunch of people were standing up at the front door (chatting - smoking) making very difficulty to enter or exit to the building (mostly for checking in or out times) (something that the manager staff just consider to be changed)
