Enjoyed Phoenix, Wished hotel was better
The hidden expenses of this hotel were unbelievable. What was supposed to be $340.25 stay was actually $448.90 Hidden fees of $10..00 a night parking, $20.00 a night internet and spa/gym fee. The wifi was open/free so why say its charged. The pool was the center of the hotel? We booked a Junior suite which the picture online looked nothing like the room in actuality. The property is worn, but was fairly clean, the carpet in our room was filthy, white socks quickly turned dark from walking around the room. The safe in our room was inoperable, we reported it upon check in, it was never repaired. (needed batteries) Saving point was all of the staff was very friendly and ineffectively accommodating.

Fantastic find near downtown Phoenix
The stay was fairly priced and the location was nice for downtown. The restaurant has some great choices. The staff is helpful, approachable and friendly. They have some great snacks available with resorts fees which was awesome. The smell in hallways was weird but glad it didn’t go into rooms, lobbies and rooms were fine. The pool was used while it was raining although it was tempting we passed. Would return.

Enjoyed the Clarendon with a couple of suggestions
I enjoyed the hotel. The location was amazing and I wanted to take the bed with me when I left. When I got to my room, the hallway smelled horribly of mold. I knew there had been a big rainstorm, so I am assuming some water damage. I could see they were trying to air it out. The room was pretty and decorated nicely. There were plenty of places to put my belongings. I felt the room was a bit dark for my liking particularly in the bathroom where I like to apply my make-up. There was a makeup mirror in the front which I appreciated, but still, it was dark. My largest complaint was the lack of hot water. The shower ran forever, but still was only slightly warm.
