Bartenders need to remember that not everyone is local and pay attention to all at the bar. I waited 10 minutes for a menu and had to finally ask, additional 10 for my drink and barely eye contact so he could finish his conversations with an obvious regular. Not consistent with the excellent customer service at the front desk.

I loved this little vintage hotel. It was originally built in the 1970s and it has been refurbished. It's definely got a cool vintage vibe. I loved that there was a bar and restaurant. A few things I was disappointed in. There was juice at the front desk but I was not offered any. Not so cool since Phodnix is triple digits this time of year. I finally asked if I could have some of the juice. It's was s nice concoction but kind of a lovely lost detail since the clerks didn't offer it. The bar was nice but the bartender was very rude. She had no interest in being nice or smiling until it was time to pay and get her tip then she was all smiles. Not cool. We had dinner at the restaurant. Waiter took one persons order at our table then took off. We had to keep calling him back. I've never seen anything like it. The live music was great. ALL the waitstaff stood around looking at their watches!!!! After eating we went to the pool. We got escorted out at 10:00 pm on a Friday!!!!! Then we went to the rooftop. There were about 30 people up there and we all got escorted out!!! Gosh kind of like staying at your grandma's house and being told to go to bed early. Oh, except my grandma lets me stay up if I'm quiet! Geez!!!

Excellent value and amenities, large room
Everything was fine. The service was very good and the room was large and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful and the breakfast (first $10 is free) was much better than the average hotel breakfast. My only criticism is that there were no movies available on the TV - either free or paid.

I was glad they understood that I really needed a late checkin. I arrived at about 2:30 am and they made it really easy for me to just get into my room and go to bed. It was clean and quiet and the bed was really comfortable. There was a multiple plug outlet at the desk so I could plug in my computer and phone to charge. Checkout was quick and pleasant as well. I wish I had more time to stay, I would have liked to try the restaurant and the pool, which looked really nice, with cabanas in the courtyard.
