Just OK, pool was great, room ok, gym horrible.
I had an option to stay at multiple hotels in this area near a business meeting I had set up. I chose this because it was a Resort , and "Resorts" historically have better workout facilities. The pictures of the workout facility did not look great, but the hotel was rated so high or at least touted as one of the top resort hotels by the owner, I decided to give it a chance. The room smelled like mildew. Over the years I've traveled for work and pleasure quite a bit, this was the worst workout room I have ever witnessed. There were so many outdated pieces of equipment jammed into a little room that it had to violate some sort of code. I notice that Ben -the owner- responds to these reviews. Ben, unless this is one of many hotels you own and you are a very busy person, if you have any self-respect for your business, you should work on that exercise facility. I would be embarrassed to have ownership of a facility that I called a "resort" and have exercise equipment of that nature. The price was reasonable, that is why I did not have many issues in general. Staff were ok and room was fine, outside of the smell, and also the water taking what seemed like minutes to heat up. For the price it isn't a bad place to spend a couple days enjoying the pool.

Poor2.0
Did not enjoy my stay. For the price the suite was not worth it I was extremely disappointed. The room was pretty basic very pretty much slept a couple of different color coats of paint on a few walls and called it a suite lol.. there's not even a phone in the room to contact front desk. I had to leave my room a few times just to ask a question it was such an inconvenience, also the refrigerator that was in my so-called suite was not like the elegant one in the picture it was more like one of those mini refrigerators you'd see at a Motel 6. overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Best place ever!
A great place to stay! We knew very little of the Phoenix area when making our hotel reservations. The Clarendon looked interesting and friendly. That indeed is what we found and more! The staff goes beyond the call of duty in helping with anything you need or want. The Clarendon Hotel has it all. Excellent food, hospitality, beautiful rooms and comfort. Highly recommended.
