Berry Hill Resort get away
We had a great trip. Berry Hill Resort was amazing. This was our third trip there. Very clean, rooms are spacious, love the decor. Staff super friendly and very accommodating. Grounds very clean and two great restaurants there on site. We traveled with our two small dogs and they were welcome. They offer a free breakfast and different entertainment and activities during the week.

8/10 Very Good

The place was very cold everywhere we went. Little to no heat in the halls, lobby and breakfast room. The continental breakfast ran out of coffee and other items the first morning. The breakfast food was disappointing and underwhelming. The restaurant (tavern) food was good, but the place itself was drab and kinda “messy”. However, the room where we stayed was comfortable and quiet. Disappointed there was no refrigeration in the room.

Overall, great stay!
This place overall was great. The rooms were clean and very nice, awesome balcony, loved having a smart TV, and the pool was gorgeous. That being said, our room had this really loud noise happen every so often, it's seemed as if it was every time someone showered in a nearby room, and it almost sounded like someone screaming! It was pretty frustrating. The free breakfast was also lackluster with not many options. We ended up paying for breakfast our last day there just to be able to enjoy something other than waffles. These things are minor though, and we did enjoy our stay and felt safe there. If we were ever in this area again, we would stay here again but we'd request a room that didn't have that shrieking pipe noise!

Beaufort Mansion
The Berry Hill Resort & Conference Center in South Boston was absolutely beautiful and the perfect stay. We traveled for the Blue Ridge Rock Festival and there was very limited places to stay in the area. I stumbled across the Berry Hill Resort and had no idea what a gem I was about to stay at. The resort itself is beautiful, with history galore. We took advantage walking the grounds taking a 2 mile hike to look at the graves. The pub was also nice and quaint, and we ate brunch at the restaurant/mansion. I can't say enough wonderful things about the Berry Hill Resort. It was such a nice surprise.
