Good for the price
We stayed at the Lake Placid Lodge during Crankworx 2015. The room was nice, and had a balcony. The building is located across the street from creekside gondola. There were some problems though. The unit was way too hot for August, and the thermostat didn't seem to let us turn the heat off. Not bad for the price, but definitely a no-frills location. Creekside has much less going on than the village, so its a good idea to get all your food before going back to the lodge.

Beer fest trip.
We were disappointed to find out the pool was closed after we had booked with a booking that was non refundable. Good bus service close by to make our way into the village proper.

Check in was not at the location we were staying at.Had to drive to a different location to check in. Was not told about this ahead of time, very confusing. The place is starting to show its age.

Everything was good except the fridge was really loud, making odd noises and the compressor was running very hot. I let the management company know so hopefully it will get fixed for the next guests. The mattress could have been a little more comfortable as well. Otherwise, nice room with a small balcony that over looked the pool and patio area. Good location and parking was free. I would stay there again.
