This hotel back in the day, was amazing. I don't think they have touched it since back in the day. The carpets throughout the hotel looked like they haven't seen a vacuum in weeks (the front desk clerk agreed), we turned on the heat in our room, and it blew cold air. The shower knob is backwards, cold=hot, and hot=cold. It took a bit to figure that one out. The hot tubs were green in color, and one was ice cold, the other lukewarm. They said they had been having problems with it, but there was no signage indicating that at all. Even if they were hot, I am not sure I would feel comfortable getting into them. They were very dirty. The hallways smelled like a combination of smoke/pot and urine, and we had a dog barking next to us most of the night, and anytime we moved in our room. The curtains were ragged and torn, we had to get toiletries from the front desk, and overall, I just felt gross staying here. The website said breakfast in the morning, but it was closed for "renovations" and no alternative was offered. I could have stayed anywhere else in Winter Park, but I choose this one for the location, and a breakfast option before I hit the slopes. Instead, I had to spend extra money that I could have spent at a better hotel with a real breakfast option. The staff at the restaurant did say they had new management, and that they had a huge task ahead of them to update the place. I would avoid this hotel at all costs for now. Good luck to the new management.
