Loft Hotel, Montreal

Cool space, but rooms are NOT functional
The Loft was a nice-looking, cool hotel in a good location. When my husband and I first walked into our room, we were blown away by its size and style. However, we quickly found it was not one bit functional. The lighting was borderline atrocious, and there was ONE MIRROR in this huge room, in the bathroom (with awful lighting). I asked the hotel staff if there was any mirror we could even borrow to put in our room, and I was told "no." I commented on how the sole mirror was basically unusable but received no further explanation (I ended up using an entryway hall mirror for makeup). The bathroom itself has a CURTAIN dividing it through a window from the rest of the room so privacy does not much exist (and the WC in it has no door). Truly bizarre. While I can appreciate a neat, stylish place, I would much rather have less of that aspect and more function. I will say the beds were comfortable, and the small kitchen area was nice. I also liked the breakfast offered.

What a Gem!
Very unexpected stay. Rooms were spacious and well decorated, great location in the latin 1/4. Will absolutely recommend and stay again!

Stayed in 2 days for sightseeing. It's at the corner of local university so you'd absolutely feel the young vibe in the neighborhood. The hotel is in style from a hand-lifting elevator to an industrial decor room which I found very attractive. Though it may not be perfect for family, I highly recommend it to couple or friends looking for mood or adventures in town.

Not very good
I thought the hotel was Poor , parking was very difficult as it was behind the hotel, to get in the garage you had to get out and wait for someone to buzz you - it was raining when I arrived. The hotel room itself was very dirty , The windows were so filthy it almost felt like it was cloudy out. The room was spacious if you need to do entertaining, otherwise it was really quite poor
