Not what we expect from a Mariott
We arrived around 9 pm after driving for 12 hours. The women at the desk after buzzing us in scolded us for not having our room key. After explaining we were there to check-in, she informs us she in "closing-down this side for the night you will have to go to the other side and check in." We go to the other side and wait our turn. We get checked in and go to our room. We had made reservations for 3 people; the room did have a pull out sofa but no bedding. I attempt to call both the front desk & housekeeping several times before I decide to go to the desk. There is no one at the desk so I wait approximately 10 minutes for a gentleman to arrive after waiting another person I explain we need blankets for the pull out bed and he asks " theres no blankets?" I do believe I just expalined this but I answer "no there are none & would appreciate a set." He huffs and says "stay right here I will be back." After another 10 mins or so he returns with a small bag of a fitted sheet & top sheet. No heavier blankets or pillows. I return to our room make the pull out bed that has stains on it. I tried to call back down to the desk with again no answer. At this time we are so tired we decided to just go to aleep. Unfortunately the pull out bed was so uncomfortable (this bed definitely needs to be replaced or a topper added to it) it felt as if you were laying on bed springs and rocks the person trying sleep in this bed was unable to sleep. Our night of rest was ruined & miserable.

Deeply disappointing
Hotel refused to honour a refund after they initiated the cancellation. During the booking nothing was said about a 500 deposit for locals. Concierge refused to provide her name after she cancelled the reservation, simply instructing hotels.com to call her. The organisation called for 72 hours straight but never got anyone on the phone. This is a breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing implicit in all business transactions.
