About Leslie Hotel, Miami Beach

Chic hotel with a rooftop pool on Miami's South Beach

Fronting onto Ocean Drive

The Leslie Hotel is a sunshine-yellow, renovated 1927 building typical of its oceanfront location in the Art Deco Historic District at the southern end of Miami Beach. Miami International airport is 25 minutes by cab across MacArthur Causeway, or 45 minutes via public transport.

Art Deco District

You'll be surrounded by extravagant, pastel-colored Art Deco architecture, and there are walking tours to take in all the highlights. Miles of golden sands and watersports galore lie just across the way, while "SoBe" explodes into Miami's hippest nightlife scene after dark.

Roof pool, free breakfast

For those who don't like sand between their toes the rooftop pool and terrace offer the chance to swim and sunbathe with breathtaking ocean views and minimum effort. There's a cutting-edge console games room and a gym, while breakfast, served daily in the Leslie Caffe, is free.

Modern Deco

All rooms reflect the Art Deco style of the hotel with a contemporary twist, and come with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, plus the additional benefit of a Bluetooth music system. Ultra-luxurious suites feature a separate living area and ocean views.

    Would stay again
We were celebrating my bf's 50th bday. We traveled from Orlando to Miami and was very pleased with the Leslie. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was ok. The room was very clean and well kept. The double showers were awesome. The only potential negative was the noise from the street but it didn't bother us much at all, its Miami after all.

    Nice hotel- lousy bed
Nice hotel- bed was very uncomfortable... not sure how this is even possible since hotel re-opened in 2014, but could feel every spring and made lots of springy noise when getting on and off the bed. Location is perfect, staff is friendly, rooftop pool and hot tub are nice feature.

Needs cleaning, noise insulation & staff training
This didn't feel like a 4-star hotel, but rather, like an amateur vacation rental apartment. We stayed in an ocean suite. The fixtures were worn and impractical. A few of the issues: The double shower feature is ridiculously impractical, as there's no door on that part of the bathroom. The steam fills the entire suite and makes every surface slippery. One of the showerheads doesn't produce very hot water either, so there's really only one usable showerhead in there. The floor of the shower area is very slippery and grimey. They use Glade plug-in air fresheners in the room that are nauseating. The bedroom door doesn't close completely. Housekeeping was rude, at best. She also accidentally took one of our towels we'd brought from home and shrugged when I found her to ask for it back (had to involve manager). THE NOISE! The hotel next door has music that's SO loud til 3am that we had to buy ear plugs and even then couldn't sleep. WHY did they put the bed against a wall that vibrates with sound all night? No insulation between rooms, so you can hear neighbors' conversations crystal clear. The worst part, though? The scammy restaurant that occupies their front porch and first floor. Every time you enter/exit the hotel, you get harassed by their hosts and hounded to patronize them. This scammy environment is classic Ocean Drive, we realize -- but it'd be nice to have the chance to enter/exit without this obnoxious interaction. We won't be back.
