On checking in, my reservation could not be found, although an email I had sent a few days prior to my stay was seen, and I was asked if I had received a response, I said no I hadn't, i received no apology. After several uncomfortable minutes went by, with no attempt at any conversation, I was handed the room key and directed to the room.
I met the Housekeeping team on exiting the lift and was greeted warmly. The room was spacious, plenty of cupboard space, perfect temperature, shower was fab. The bed was two twins pushed together, so uncomfortable, didn't sleep well my entire stay. Great sound proofing from the window, could hardly hear any traffic noise, even from the Tram located directly outside the Hotel. However, the noise from the lifts, loud TV from the next room, loud talking in the passage, no soundproofing there!!
On leaving the Hotel the next morning, I approached the reception desk to enquirer about the Tram, and was greeted, offered directions to the town centre and also given a map. The young man was very pleasant and helpful, a different man from when I checked in. Thereafter on leaving and entering the Hotel, it was a different person on reception, and no attempt at a greeting was ever made, no eye contact.
