Decent Hotel in a Very Good Location
+ The room is clean. Good location for long walks- just across from a big sightseeing area and park (VDNH). - Crowded with Chinese tourists and children groups. Boring breakfast - no fried eggs or omelet. No free sauna.

    Exceptional 10.0
    Great stay!
The hotel stay was really nice. The check in counter staff were wonderful, professional and very helpful. Good personnel. The room was spacious and the view out the window was great. The room itself seemed to be outdated, but everything worked. The room could use a few more lights — it seemed too dark in the room. But overall it was a really good experience. Special thank you to the employees at the front desk. They have a hard job but they keep a great attitude, I was very impressed.

    Good 6.0
    Worst check in ever.
Worst check in experience of 40 years of traveling. They only had 2 people working the front check in at a time. With over 1000 rooms during the World Cup, this was beyond inadequate. It took 45 min to 1 1/2 hours to check in each party. We waited in line 4 different times to check into 3 rooms, unbelievable. If they could not find your paid for reservation, they made you go to a phone line to have a central reservation worker look it up. Unbelievable. Security at the hotel was good, both for the lobby and getting to the rooms. Food was ok. Rooms were clean but could use updates.

    1 meter wide single bed
They never reserve a King-size-bed every time even i fully paid for the room. The single bed is only 1 meter width.

    Poor 2.0
Trip to 1980s (the worst version of the 1980s)
Almost everything was awful (well, view from the 23rd floor is nice): — as soon as you enter the room, you notice that this hotel was built for the 1980 Olympics; — for some reason you need to show to a security guy your Guest Card to get to the elevator area (I’m pretty sure you should always use correct capitalization to write the words “Guest Card”; also, it‘s just a paper wrap for your room key—the good news is that you can get a copy at the reception); — in the morning I found that breakfast that day had ended at 9:45 because of the conference at the first floor (both the Guest Card and a person who checked me in were pretty sure that breakfast is served til 10:30); — while returning to my room after that disappointment, I dropped my Guest Card after showing it to a security guy. Well, I thought, I don’t really need it, I already both had a second one and plans to check out as soon as possible, but the security guy had another opinion, so he picked up the card, ran after me and threw it at me with the immortal line “You can be a swine at your own home” (in Russian, of course, what did you think?). I have to admit I didn’t expect so much agility and accuracy from a guy who looked like he worked here since 1980s, but it turned out that all security is hired by the hotel from an external private company. 0/10, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
