Charming hotel near train station
Fantastic location, right next to the train station and in the centre of town. Is a very grand older hotel with lots of charm. It was spacious and clean with a good size bathroom. Comfy bed which we were very pleased about. Wi-fi is free and easy to connect to. Only problem was it kept dropping out for me in the room, disappearing from my wi-fi options entirely. However, it worked really well in the lobby. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel for the location and breakfast
Overall this hotel was nice. Kind of got a Shining vibe in the hallway and rooms, though the entrance to the hotel was very fancy. The restaurant downstairs was really nice and the breakfast in the morning was the best buffet breakfast we had in England. Lots of variety.

Poor2.0
Awful and incorrectly advertised
I couldn’t stay in this hotel. I left within 20 minutes of arriving, and had to find my own hotel at 1 AM. There was no assistance provided to me for reimbursement or booking a different hotel. I would never book or stay here. (1) Hotel falsely advertised that they have air conditioning. They do not. (2) My room had a pest infestation—looked like clothing moths to me, as stated by many other reviewers—which I found retrospectively. I recommend a different hotel.

Very nice lobby but very small and basic room. Convenient location in town but underwhelming for the price.
