8/10 Very Good

Red Lion good room for budget minded
It was a decent room for the price, other than the TV was not working the first night. And the thermostat for the heat would not go above 70. Pretty minor considering it was only 55 a night

6/10 Good

I'd better get both of my deposits back.
The desk clerk was really nice but I was charged twice for a $50 "deposit" that I was unaware of. Nowhere does it say, when booking, that there is a $50 deposit. The room smelled really musty. The TV's volume didn't work nor would it turn off. I had to unplug it. However, The guy that fixed it was really nice. I went to make hot water in the coffee maker and the coffee maker was dirty and had old coffee drippings in it. Someone else's hair was on the wall of the shower My comforter had yellow stains all over it. The desk lamp kept coming on and off all night. Oh, and there was a plastic bag over the fire detector!!! Breakfast was cold. When we went to check out no one was in the lobby.

Just don’t do it!
Brand new employee really tried her best, she had a great attitude and a sincere smile. She has NO help, it took 40 minutes for check in and then the key did not work. Only to go and stand in line again for 25 minutes. The room was fairly clean and the beds were comfy. The Hotel is so dirty that they should be ashamed! Absolutely disgusting. I went to take a picture of what I thought maybe a huge spider caught up in dustballs, and my coworker pulled me away, thinking it may bite. The second floor has homeless people living in it, I think they have some kind of deal going with the rescue missions surrounding the area to keep them warm during the winter. Drunks in the parkinglot, smoking and acting out.

probably the best for the price
Older and a bit run down but for the price it worked. Much better than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. I will say that don't pay for the "breakfast" at seven bucks per person. It was atrocious. Worse than the worst free breakfast. No pancakes, no bacon, eggs had so much water and peppers and who knows what else that my wife and I didn't even attempt to scoop any out. I got about 4 bites of the sausage link down and maybe 3 bites of french toast and had run to the bathroom to vomit. Also, key cards are crap. We had a hell of a time getting in the building from the side and our room. Even after switching them out. Remote for the tv only worked if you used the manual button under the screen to get the tv on. Bed and pillows were nice. There is a computer desk but no chair so I pulled the soft chair with the stained cushion over there. Overall it was still a good stay. They are understaffed just like everyone else.
