Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. Was awful from the minute we got there. Upon checking in, the young girl checking us in, a trainee, although not her fault, didn’t have a clue what she was doing and ended up charging me twice for the room, which was then sorted, but more on this later ….
Eventually getting into the room of this VERY dated hotel, I was disappointed to find the bathroom was quite dirty, we had a fridge that didn’t work and a TV that didn’t work. I reported these to the receptionist when we was going out for the evening, who told us that he would get someone to look into these problems, nothing ever happened. It’s also very noisy, you can hear people from the joined rooms (there is a door that separates), the street noise is very loud also.
The room was ‘cleaned’ everyday, although the tea’s and coffees were never replenished, we did ask at the reception and was given some tea bags, it’s just easier to go get your own milk and waters etc.
Don’t bother with the ‘Midtown Grill’, on our first day, we arrived early, and was sat at the bar for around 30 minutes, no one came, so we left.
The location is very good, but depends on what you are in Brussels for, it is very very loud in the evenings and throughout the night, especially at the weekend.
And bringing to the checkout, another trainee, I was concerned, and so I should have been, once again, I was charged twice for my stay, you couldn’t write it. It was sorted in the end, but it’s poor.
