Mercure London Kensington, London
Great location, comfortable rooms, good wifi
The rooms are very well furnished and modern, within a classic-looking interior. The wifi was good both in my room and the lobby. The hotel is a relatively short (200 m) walk from Earl's Court Underground station, and a slightly longer (400 m) walk from Gloucester Road. It is very convenient to shops in the Kensington High Street and South Kensington area, and the Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. My stay was for business and I was able to get to Euston and other central London locations very easily, although the Underground is very crowded at peak business times, which required a bit of extra time.

Great, last-minute deal; clean & comfy.
Was a great last-minute find in the lovely Kensington area. Front desk staff was very friendly, and hotel common areas were spotless. I didn't try room service or the cafe in the lobby. The room was small but the twin bed was comfy. The only negative was there were long hairs from a previous guest on the shower knobs.

Tiny room with paper thin walls
Hotel is located a few blocks from Earl's court and Gloucester Road tube stations and within walking distance to shops on Kensington Rd. The staff was very attentive the room however was extremely small and loud. I could hear every conversation from the room adjacent to mine as clear as possible as if there were no walls, same about TV, bathroom and closing and opening of their door, making it difficult at times to get a good night's sleep.

You get what you pay for
The hallway smelt poorly the entire time and each room wall was paper thin, you could here the neighbor unlocking their door while the kids next door were waking up, having tantrums etc. the benefit to this location was earl court tube.
