Disappointing and potentially dangerous accessible
I needed an accessible room for my travel mate and used the Hotels.Com filter which suggest the Super 8 by Wyndham Las Cruces motel. The photo on the website showed a bath chair and a number of grab bars. Unfortunately the chair shown was not the one in the bathroom - replaced by one that would be of no use in the shower/tub. There was no shower curtain. A towel bar had been removed, leaving the wall mount hardware. The grab bar by the toilet was hidden under a towel bar which was being pulled from the wall (undoubtedly being used as a grab bar.) This poor placement of a towel bar where a handicapped access bar should be installed by itself is potentially hazardous. Other aggravations included no cup or glass in the room for either bathroom water or morning coffee, a dirty window looking out onto the parking lot, and a vehicle windshield wiper left in the top drawer of the bedroom cabinet (?) Only one wash cloth and a hand towel. One pillow case was wrinkled and spotted. The desk clerk was not present when we checked in and had to be called by dialing the phone number shown on a small inconspicuous notice left on the front desk. She was unable to make room keys, saying the the magnetic key maker had been malfunctioning for months. We finally got room keys after 2 failed attempts.

The hotel is beside the freeway so it was noisy with vehicle noise. It was definitely a no frills hotel, just a clean enough, inexpensive place to get some sleep before moving on across the country.

Pet friendly!
I was able to get a pet friendly room same day, near an exit that I could re-enter. I was happy! There was some pet hair in the room when we got there, but it wasnt so much that we couldnt ignore it. The pet fee was very low and the grounds were great for dog walking.

Do not stay here
The first room I got put in had major issues. First thing I noticed was hair on all the pillow cases. It may have been pet hair, or just short human hair, I'm not sure. I asked for new ones which she got. Literally everything has stains. The towels, washcloths, and even the blankets. When I went to get into bed, I noticed blood stains on the white sheets. Disgusting! I again went to the front desk and she moved me across the hallway. While this room was better, things were still dirty, stained, and gross. I know it's not a pricey hotel, but buy some new towels and sheets for christ sake. The location sucks too, especially if your heading east out of town.

Sad!
The hotel has potential, but it is lacking in quite a few places. First the beds were very tall, and the sheets were so thread bare that you could see thru them. No blankets provided either and the towels were very worn. The carpets could also use a good cleaning. The breakfast was a joke. It is supposed to be continental breakfast and we were told that it includes cereal, pastries, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee which we were OK with. The reality was that the breakfast room was dirty, and the only food available was some sad sugary cereal, a few slices of bread and a couple of yogurts, not enough for all of us. When we asked about the rest of the breakfast items, the receptionist which acted put upon that we had interrupted his phone usage made some pathetic coffee, and started opening all cabinet doors looking for the items we asked for like utensils, waffle maker, food, etc. before giving up and returning to his phone.

Initially the room we were placed in the shower wasn't working properly so they transferred us to another room down the hall on the same floor. So customer service was good. Anything we asked for was taken care of. This location does offer a very simple limited type of continental breakfast. This location does have a pool but it didn't look as if it had been used in quite sometime. The only thing about the room that we were transferred too that needed taken care of was that there were a couple of vanity bulbs in the bathroom that were out. Upon check out they asked if the room was ok. We said it was find and let them know that those bulbs were out. My companion and I typically don't stay in the room much since we are there to go site seeing so we don't let a lot get us upset about the room unless it's a major problem.
