Our stay was fine. We requested a handicapped-accessible room, and it was confirmed on our reservation. But it was not available when we got to the hotel.

Acceptable
It was a pretty noisy hotel. I got woken up frequently even with earplugs in. Also only the top outlets worked, not the bottom, anywhere in the room, which meant you had to choose between the coffee maker or the microwave, a clock or a lamp, etc. But it was acceptable.

So Sad!!! Too Bad!!!
This is a dark hole of a hotel. Rooms are dark. Sink and tub were chipped and dirty. Water pressure in sink was minimal. There was only one night table so I improvised with a upside down garbage can. The light breakfast included coffee only with a large container of powdered creamer, granola bars and pre-packaged small cinnamon rolls. Can't believe they actually advertized breakfast on their marquee outside. The bed was comfortable but only one very thin blanket and a sheet like spread. I'm not sure who did the review or inspection on this place but they should be fired. We do not recommend and will not return.

Stay at the Best Western!
Not a place to get a good rest or stay for 2+ nights but can be okay for one night. The Arcata Police were there twice in four days. The restaurants around the area are horrible! My room was next to the McDonald's drive in and I could hear every order. Many contractors stay there and are up at 430am to go to work, bathroom was smelly and dirty, and a desk clerk come into my room unannounced--that was unprofessional! there are actual tenants who live there, The TV did not work, and then my credit card was charged to the wrong card, the breakfast was only coffee and granola bars (if there were any left at 715am), and the breakfast lady was late by 45 min. I have reported the dissatisfaction to Wyndham for a full refund!!!

It was a perfect landing place for us for an out of town event. Quiet and clean, super friendly and helpful staff. While we stayed two nights, we were only there at night, didn't explore the area (not fancy), as we had our event to be at in Eureka.
