Comfortable Hotel in a Great Location!
Fosshotel Lind is a great hotel. It’s very quaint and comfortable and is in a great location. It’s located right at the end of the main shopping street in Reykjavík and is close to all the main attractions. Also, the best part is that because it’s not right in the middle of city center, all the tour groups and hotel transfers will pick you up directly from and drop you off in front of the hotel (buses are not allowed to pick up from the city center). So you get door to door service and everyone knows where Fosshotel Lind is located. There are a bunch of places to eat around there too. The hotel also does a fantastic breakfast! Not just pastries and cereals but also scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, etc. It’s really wonderful and a great way to start your day. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are warm, comfortable and clean. I also liked that they had a little snack kiosk to buy chips and drinks. I would definitely recommend staying here.

It was convenient and close to the landmarks in Reykjavik. However, the room we stayed in was small. The bathroom was also very small. Felt like it needed some remodeling to be done.

Nice budget hotel in good location
Overall, our stay was good! Fosshotel Lind was a nice budget hotel - we got one of the rooms decorated/designed by the local design students, which was nice and unique. The breakfast at the hotel was great and the room was tidy and comfy; a bit small but nothing uncomfortable or inconvenient. The lobby area was quite small, but there was a nice lounge down the stairs near the breakfast room that was very comfortable. We arrived very early form the airport, and the staff allowed us to store our bags while we wandered the city until we could check in (which we were allowed to do before the check in time when a room was available). The location of the hotel was one of the best parts - short walk to downtown but far enough away to not feel overwhelmed with the many tourists in Reykjavik. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, no frills hotel that serves as a good base in the city!

Easy overnight, but nice options in town
We had a nice overnight here on our first night in Iceland. The hot water smells of sulfur, so if you're sensitive then perhaps find a different option. The staff were friendly. The room was very simple, but worked fine. The neighborhood was quiet, and was easily walkable into the town proper (a couple of minutes into downtown). Parking was easy on the street. The WiFi worked well. The room was certainly not big, but it did the job.
