Great Location
We were pretty excited about this hotel's location. We literally walked EVERYWHERE, no need for a cab at all. Every day we patted ourselves on the back for finding such a great location for a hotel. It was clean, wifi worked just fine, and the room was a good size. 2 complaints though...they were renovating the hotel at the time we stayed and it was a bit noisy (luckily it was during the day when we were out site seeing so it didn't cause much of an inconvenience) and even though it was non-smoking some of the people staying around us were smoking. My husband has asthma so that was a bit annoying but hey-it's Rome..Everyone smokes there right?

Fabulous Hotel and Staff
From the moment I checked in the staff was fabulous. It's a gorgeous old European building but the rooms are modern and comfortable. If you are visiting Beautiful Roma this is the place to stay

Rome
There was a constant and noisy construction that started very early in the day and lasted till the evening. We are talking about hammers, saws and the whole nine yards. If ultimate goal is to remodel the Hotel, that will be great, but not for the unfortunate souls who happened to be there when I was a guest. Across the street on the main drag, there is a small restaurant right across from the traffic light named Cesar's or so. The ambiance is not what one should look for there, but fixed price menus are wonderful and their fried fish is to die for. Make sure you exchange dollars at the Bank, there is UNI Credit bank close by. Whatever you do, make sure you do not exchange at the exchange shops as there is a hidden 20% fee that you do not see posted on their electronic board posting exchange rate. It is nothing short of a highway robbery.
