Perfect first night in Florence
It was very convenient for arriving at the SMN train station in Florence. The small hotel met all of my needs, and it was perfectly located for restaurants and for browsing the San Lorenzo open air market.

Furniture in room was old(not in an antique way) and drawers were dusty (dirty?). Beds were OK except they were not on solid bed boards but on flimsy metal frames. On the positive side, the personnel were extremely polite and helpful; breakfast was tasteful and varied (very good),and hotel location was central to transportation.

Breakfast is nothing special. Located extremely close to shopping and the train station

Dated. Poor security.
The. Furnishings are dated. The bedspread an awful synthetic fabric that I had to remove from the bed. The neighborhood is a short walk from central Florence. Note that there is little security at the hotel. You have to leave your room key when you go out and, when you return, they give you the key you request without even asking your name. This happened to me even with a new staff member that had never seen me before.

Do not go!
WiFi was advertised, and didn't work. When I asked how I was supposed to get my work done I was sent to another hotel a block away to work in the hotel lobby (terrible internet service as well) I requested a discount as I had to spend several hours sitting in a lobby rather than my room to get my work done... And the lady at the desk laughed and said no. Horrible service, and a huge price tag for what you get (which is a very uncomfortable bed, and nothing else)
