Basic and older
Very basic and older hotel. We paid an embarassing amount of money because it was last minute and a holiday weekend and we needed to be there for a function. It meets the basic need of having a room in Kill Devil Hills, but the condition of the room and hotel didn't bring any comfort. We didn't stay in our room or on the property for any longer than we absolutely had to. I wouldn't voluntarily stay there again.

Typical
Girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Upon check in to our first room, we discovered a bad leak in the ceiling of our bathroom. We were immediately moved to a nicer room by the lobby door. Well, we listened to the sliding door open and shut most of the night. Pet friendly rooms have carpet which is old. Typical old beach motel.

Decent hotel
The smell on the first floor was a bit overwhelming. Our room was on the 4th floor and the smell didn’t reach that floor. The view was very nice. You were able to see the beach. The pool looked clean but it was still too cold to swim. It was a short walk to the beach and there are lots of restaurants around.

This is the 3rd year in a row in which we stayed here. The manager hooked me up with an upper level, ocean view room for being a return customer. Our room was clean and both beds have new mattresses. We will be back next year.
