Highly recommended
Amazing hotel and phenomenal staff!!! The bed was firm; but other than that, it's an excellent property.

A couple of suggestions: 1) The coffee was very weak. Maybe improve the quality of the coffee used. 2) when we went to breakfast at 9:30 am, there was hardly anything available to eat. The food plates were not replenished. that should be corrected.

Desert Return
Although my stay started out a teeny bit wonky, it was all magic and moonlight within 24 hours! Since my visit last year, the property has a fresh coat of paint, making it even nicer looking - if that could be possible. This visit,Tucson was in the middle of a record heat wave, so I took advantage of the 24 hour, open swimming pool & hot tub, enjoying an evening dip in the sparkling, center court pool, which was just outside my ground level, king casita room. My room was spacious, quiet, and well maintained. During my stay, of special pleasure was my chat with the Housekeeping Supervisor, who cheerfully identified many of the cacti and plants located on the LOTD property. The front desk staff are exemplary, as are the serving staff in Cielo's, the attached restaurant. The complimentary breakfast is generous, tasty, and suitable for anyone with an appetite! If I would make a tiny suggestion, it would be that the manager/owner(?) does not bark at the wait-staff when guests are in the dining room. He did not see me as he rushed past; I felt badly for the two women servers and not a little uncomfortable. However, the event did not detract from the wonderful time I had at Lodge on the Desert and in Tucson. Lodge on the Desert is becoming my go-to hotel for my Tucson stays - and why not? Hidden behind the rose-pink walls is an oasis that would make any genie jealous!
