Unaware of parking charges
Everything was great other than I had a vehicle so the front desk told me there was a parkade around the corner on the side of the building. When I checked out they told me that there was a $18 overnight parking fee. Which was fine but I was not told of the cost prior to parking

Very beautiful hotel with staff-shortage issues
This is a beautiful old hotel I've stayed at 4 or 5 times over the years as it's undergone a series of renovations. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of the newly renovated corporate suites this time, which was large, nicely furnished and appointed, and extremely comfortable. I'm not sure if all renovations are complete—the last time I was there, the room I stayed was definitely in need of some work—but if so, I only see one thing keeping this from being an excellent high-end hotel in the Winnipeg area, and that is the staff shortage. During my stay, there was never more than one person at the front desk (and more often than not, there was more than one guest waiting in line). This shortage was even more noticeable with the valet service. I picked up and dropped off my car probably 12 or 13 times during my stay, and only once or twice was there someone ready to collect it or to hand me the keys if I was leaving. This is, at least to my mind, a major oversight, and it could easily be fixed with either a bit of planning by management or a new hire. Otherwise, I'm very fond of this place. Perfectly nice restaurant/bar, beautiful setting (and very good location) and capable, friendly service.

Winnipeg's best
Excellent location within walking access of downtown and The Forks. Very stylish period architecture and updated with all the modern conveniences. Room service was great, staff was fantastic, high quality towels and linens. Great perks for active travelers like access to Yoga Public and an awesome gym facility. I will definitely stay here on subsequent trips.

Beautiful hotel, nice place to stay
Beautiful hotel, great little bar for just relaxing and talking to friends. Doors for the bathroom were a little odd and there was a problem with the entire floor trying to use their keys at midnight and we had to wait for someone with a master fob to let us in. Otherwise, great place and I will stay there again on my next visit with the wife.

No Fee Shower
When listing amenities they should be more specific about what is included at no extra charge. At checkout was advised that the bottle of water was 6 dollars.
