My husband and I stayed two days after being on the road for 3 months. The hotel itself was nice, but we were told after checking in that they only provided maid service for guest staying for 3 nights or more. We asked if we could have a late checkout (1pm) & were told that was fine, but the cleaning lady tried barging through the door at 11:30am without even knocking. Thank God for door guards. I asked twice if my Marriotts rewards number was added to the reservation in order to get reward. I’m glad I asked a second time since it didn’t happen the first time. The women over seeing the breakfast bar actually seemed annoyed that guest were eating and she would have to work at replenishing the food & finally the guy working the front desk was smug, stuck up and incredibly unprofessional. Everyone there really should get other jobs since they do not belong, enjoy or I guess do not know how to work in customer service. I thought one of the points of staying at a hotel was to experience room service & no I don’t mean food being brought to the room. I just mean feeling like you’re being taken care of. Having to ask for more towels, making my own bed & having to take out the trash - well, it kind of took that feeling away. Might seem silly, but when you spend money you shouldn’t feel like you could of stayed home. If the staff was replaced or went to a hospitality class, I would give it another shot, if not, I would rather spend my money the poker tables down in Reno.
