Our stay at the Oaks Embassy was not a pleasant one. The accommodations were not what we expected from the description and photos when we booked. The apartment was old and the view facing over roof tops of the side buildings. The lighting was poor and the bathroom fan was extremely loud and annoying since you had no choice to turn it off because it was connected to the light switch. We checked out the next morning and was charged an extra night for leaving. We later found out the apartments are privately owned and Oak Embassy manages them. That explains the poor condition of the accommodations. We would never recommend this property.

Top location friendly staff and great hotel
Very hospitable and friendly staff that made the world of difference in staying and getting around the city. Highly recommend anyone to stay here as tram station and buses that take you around the city for free are literally within half a block from hotel . If you are staying longer then convenience stores are also half a block. And if you are a foodie the. Eat restaurants are also half a block. I.e. Very convenient location for everything . The room is 5 stars no doubt.

Oaks Embassy Adelaide - nice room, great location
Great location if you are attending the Convention Centre. I was given a room on the top floor and it featured 7M high windows and a nice balcony. Very nice. Only room complaint was that the heater only blows into the bedroom, making it too warm in your attempt to warm up the rest of the apartment. Restaurant was the biggest complaint; it is a counter-service bistro which often featured a long line for mediocre food. I think service was quicker if you went up to your room and ordered room service. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful when needed.

Never staying at an oaks again
Have stayed here, horizon & istay precinct many times. After this stay I will never return to any oaks. Will start with the good. The check in process was great. Tanya was absolutely fantastic. Now onto the rest.. was given a crappy small room with a view of a wall and a tiny balcony that caught all the wind and rain that was difficult to access as could not even open the door properly with the furniture in the way. When the wind caught the door it was downright dangerous. Also noticed the many corners that have been cut. Reduced number of pillows and towels. No facewashers, reduced number of complimentary tea/coffee items. These cost cuttings have in no way been passed on to the guests. The shower was not very clean. The shower door and tracks were filthy. Needs a good steam clean. The following day I did not have my room serviced. I requested at 1pm. Came back at 4pm and it was still not done. Spoke to another staff member. Both times assured it would be done. Came back again at 6pm. It had still not been done. No attempt at an apology, no explanations, no offers if solutions. This was not good enough when you are paying over $170 per night. The lack of service was downright unprofessional. I was forced to request a room change. I stay in hotels approximately 40 nights per year. I will never stay at another Oaks. For people wanting to stay in adelaide, try peppers instead.. very simular price and it is everything that this hotel is not.

Comfortable enough for a 2 night stay for work. Usually stay at horizons found the embassy apartment considerably smaller and very little natural light with big building next door to balcony and only door with light
