Great stay! Free breakfast, close to everything!
I would definitely recommend Ariston to anybody coming to Rome. It is literally 2 short blocks to Roma termini (the main train station) so getting there was easy. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum which is nothing at all because it's a scenic walk to see the big city of Rome. The staff is very nice and helpful. English is ok. I found myself needing to speak a bit slower than normal but that's ok because I'm in a different country and English is not the primary language. They can help with any tourist site, maps, tours etc! About 30 minute train ride to Vatican City as well! It was the best spot for what we were looking for. Only thing is that the power went out for about 5 minutes when we were there and had to reset our key. No biggie! Oh...and free and continental breakfast 6:30 to 10 am!

Not a good experience
When I arrived after a 45 minute drive from the airport late at night I was told that I did not have a room due to electricity problems and that I had been moved to their sister hotel across the street. They also told me I wouls be given an executive suite for the inconvenience. The sister hotel was across the street and not near as nice. I was not given a better room and the AC did not work. The worst part about it is that I had called and emailed days prior trying to cancel my room so I cold stay somewhere closer to the airport since I needed to be back 7 hours later. I even asked for a sister property to transfer. They told me my room was nonrefundable. Once the hotel found out I would have to be moved, they should have contacted me ans allowed me to,book elsewhere verses making me stay at a hotel across the street that was not nice and burning up.

My new favourite hotel in Rome!
Excellent hotel. Two minutes walk from Roma Termini Station. Very professional staff. Good security. Very stylish, each floor has a different look/feel. Amazing value. The breakfast buffet is incredible. Without a doubt, I will definitely return!

Convenient and clean
The area around the hotel is very busy with lots of people going around all the time. However, it is centrally located and perfect place to say if you plan on sight-seeing in Rome. Just get the 24hr Metro card and you are good to go with the station being minutes away. Also, you can take Teritalia to other towns for day trips. The staff was very helpful and they will hold your luggage on the day of checkout if you need until the evening
