Average hotel near Victoria Station
This hotel is close to Victoria Station and is convenient. However it is work to stay in this hotel. Things do not run well. Our room was missing items, things were broken. If you call to ask for replacement of items, they will bring it to you no problem. But one needs to call. The Front desk staff is disorganized. I asked for a bus route map and was told they had one, went down to lobby, and was told they didn't have one, then next morning asked again and there was the map right next to their computer. We paid extra to have robes in room, and on third night, no robes. So not organized. Not particularly beautiful or bright but beds comfortable. You will hear lots of noise from street. There was honking at 5 in morning, groups of people fighting. This might just be London though. We will look around for other hotels next time. Note: Wifi is iffy, does not work consistently. The best most helpful person was their concierge Andrew. He was excellent.

Good6.0
Condition and location of hotel is good. Service is abysmal, with the exception of concierge Andrew. Hotel rooms were hot, AC didn't not cool, resorted to opening window in 50degF weather. We stayed in 3 different rooms as we were taking several overnight tours around England. All rooms were too warm. Having adequate towels was challenging, especially face cloths. We would have to call up for them practically every night when we came back to the hotel. 2 of the hotel rooms did not have hair dryers and required a call to housekeeping. There were 2 of us traveling and we required an additional luggage rack. Only once was our request for an additional rack actually delivered. And the Wi-Fi signal was limited and weak in all of our rooms. Awful. We didn't eat the food, as there were plenty of options just outside the hotel. Pret a Manger and a Sainsbury just down the road for quick eats. $15UK for a buffet breakfast is way too much. When I return to London on my next trip, I will not stay here.

Uncomfortable beds king size not
Room states king size bed but it was two twins pushed together and sliding apart due to wheels on bottom, not comfortable for someone 6’4”.

Great pick
I spent 3-4 hours online trying to narrow down my choice for this London/Portsmouth/Canterbury trip with a wonderful English roommate I have previously shared twin bed rooms with. Roommate has recently developed mobility issues, so I prioritized train station proximity. Also, roommate wants breakfast and for me, if we have breakfast, I want to return to my room to clean my teeth. So, even though English breakfasts seem rediculously expensive, This was a strategic choice. There are less expensive options in the lobby bar and across the street. I'm noise sensitive and was concerned about the roads. Very happy to report the whole building (and our room) was very quiet. I came in on a red-eye, so appreciated being able to check my bag and settle in the lobby with wifi access whilst I waited for Roommate. A cup of tea later we departed for city activities until evening. I initially had difficulty finding the hotel from Victoria station because I didn't know which way east was. Simple hint: the trains come in facing north. Train platforms 1 and 2, are on the east side. Find them. There is a smallish side door (to the east) (covered passage.) Cross the street and go under the underpass, turn right and the Park Plaza is a couple hundred feet down on your left. Very helpful doorman came out to help me before I was even sure I got it right. Thanks

Apartment not as described
The apartment we received was not the one described on hotels.com, smaller than the advertised 58 sq m and missing a room. The hotel manager was unable to provide the type of apartment we rented but comped a meal in the bar. That experience was disappointing. Besides that the stay was positive with friendly staff, nice gym and breakfast. Location is great.
