The Lighthouse Resort Inn & Suites, Fort Myers Beach
Not Your Usual Review
I’m a solo stay person w/small dog. It was the most you could expect from an older place. My preferences may not match yours, so I don’t want to mislead. For instance, my front door to the room stuck and took quite an effort to close. I did not complain though because I felt at peace in the serene island setting that I was surrounded by. I went back to normal life completely refreshed. I’m sure had I reported an issue, the hotel staff would’ve helped. They are friendly. As far as Fort Myers beach, well there was dead sealife everywhere at the beach. Not FMB’s fault- it’s the federal government’s for releasing awful water from lake O. FMB suffers- such a shame, could be paradise. I stayed mostly on the hotel property because of the water issues at the beach, so I was happy. I’m not a pretentious person in any way. Some of the things in my experience were fine for me, but there are always complainers out there and people feel entitled if they were king or queen of the world. I worked at hotels and in the service industry for years. Therefore, I know how some people can be and I know how I DONT WANT TO BE. Be nice to people, and stay at the lighthouse resort if you ever have a chance ;)

We were there for a reunion and had 4 people over 75 years old we were on the 4th floor and the elevators were broken. The security guard was mean and racist, against anyone who wasn't American. I have been there before and never felt that way.

Very Good8.0
Lighthouse Lovely Option
Very nice place; welcoming staff. Easy walk to pubs, restaurants, shops, and KeyWest Express. Only negatives: vines and bushes need to be trimmed back on stairways especially going from first floor to 2nd floor, e.g., walking up to Room 144. Bathtub enclosure has rust all across bottom.

Just a quaint fun time!
I live in Fort Myers but when grandkids come they love to be near Times Square. They can shop, eat, do the beach or the pool. And I can relax in between activities!
