Wonderful Romantic Staycation
I just love this hotel, its a very old building but in great shape. Ive stayed here a few times its very close to downtown. I had a two room sweet each room has a bed and a couch with pullout sofa so it can sleep up to 4 couples! Great value. Small fridge, I don't remember a microwave. I did the Sunday brunch once and dont recommend it, its very expensive because of the oysters (not good) and they dont have many options, they charged my friend extra when she requested eggs.

A place to sleep, but no more.
The service and check-in was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. The room left much to be desired. The HVAC unit ran continuously even with the thermostat in the OFF position. Either the heat was on or the A/C was on. Additionally, we paid a premium for a balcony room, but the balcony was right next to a large heat pump, slanted down, and is covered in a worn indoor/outdoor carpeting. The balcony also offered an unobstructed view of the adjacent room. We were there for one night, so we put up with it. I wouldn't go back.

didn’t have the room we requested when making the reservation. the room we were given was actually a downgrade from what we had paid for. the ac didn’t work and the room was hot and smelled like mice. when we requested a new room, the lady at the front desk didn’t seem surprised and then seemed to think we were asking for and upgrade when all we wanted was a room that wasn’t too hot and didn’t smell bad. she even said that she would have to “take a room from someone else” even though they weren’t fully booked. we were finally given a new room with working ac, but the overall quality of the hotel was a bit shoddy. i know its an historic building, but it was very rough around the edges. will not stay again.
