Beware that the classic rooms all overlook the parking lot. The lights flickered and a light fixture was dangling from the ceiling. The woman was clean though and the staff is very helpful.

There is Better and Cheaper Nearby
The "courtyard view" was of trash bins and parking lots. Had I known it was so miserable I would have paid extra for the river view. Didn't appreciate the charge on my credit care "in case" I wanted room service. The room was hot and they don't have air conditioning in the winter, so they give you a small desk fan to wedge in the window to cool your room. Too much bother for too much money.

Perfect spot in town
Great hotel right in the heart of town. Bristol is a fantastic walking city. I ran along the river up to the Clifton suspension bridge. I will return to Bristol and stay here again.

Nice stay in Bristol at the Mercure Brigstow
Good stay -- had a room overlooking the river. Location is walkable to most of the city attractions so very convenient. Staff are very professional and helpful. We had a little mix-up with a UPS envelope delivery that was accepted by front desk for us at 2:36 pm, but evening crew couldn't locate it for us despite great efforts by them to do so. The next morning the day staff had no trouble locating it for us, so a happy ending. Breakfasts are very good, with enough choices for those staying several days. Great bonus to be so close to the Royal Vic theater. We recommend the Fish Market Pub on Baldwin.
