Very nice hotel, wish it was in nicer location...
The hotel itself is great. Rooms were spacious and clean, overall comfortable stay. I did not take advantage of bar or restaurant so cannot comment on that. Breakfast was 15 euro and decided to forego because I don’t eat enough food at breakfast to warrant paying that much. The week I stayed in Brussels there was an event and many rooms in center of town were booked. I decided to stay here because it was right near the metro station and figured I could easily get into town. I was traveling solo and unfortunately did not feel like the area around the hotel was very safe because there were a lot of people loitering around outside. I took the metro every where I needed to go in the evening instead of walking simply because of that reason. What I didn’t know is that the direct line from the nearby metro station to city center was closed due to construction. So I had to take another route and switch trains to get to city center. I know that is not the hotels fault, but people should be aware if they were relying on direct route to center.I like that the hotel has the extra safety precautions of requiring a hotel room key to access the elevators, stairs, and luggage hold locker rooms. I didn’t see paying 5euro as a problem to hold luggage in locker although I see others complained about this in the reviews. It’s a nice peace of mind to know luggage is safely secured. Grocery right next door is nice. I would recommend the hotel, however I just wish it was in another location.

Didnt feel safe!!
Even though this hotel was right across from the station and it was convinient, I didn’t feel safe. Outside of the hotel, there were 4-8 men just standing there talking and you could tell they were not staying there there. The rooms weren’t that great either. This was a 2 star hotel.

Good 6.0
The primary drawback to this hotel is its location right next to Gare du Midi. While the location is convenient for rail travelers, the station itself is a haven for pickpockets. There were a number of homeless in the immediate area as well. It's not exactly a place to relax. That said, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself, other than occasional external noise, does offer some sanctuary from the immediate surroundings.

It’s good if you only need a bed
What is this hotel? It absolutely has nothing... not even a soap or Kleenex? If you sneeze, go to and get yourself toilet paper
