Best hotel in Reno
Beautifully designed hotel. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the Whitney Peak to others and stay there again. It's quiet and clean; not smoke-filled like the other casino hotels yet it's close enough to still enjoy the gambling scene.

Too pricey for poor service and sketchy area
The hotel was way too expensive for our experience there. The street it is on a lonely one-way with many sketchy characters. Valet was good when you could get a hold of them but at one point we waited almost half an hour outside to get our vehicle. We arrived to town an hour early anf were told we couldnt check in until 3, so we came back closer to 3:30 amd had to step over and maneuver around trash, diety linens, and diety room service dishes in the hallway to get to our room. The floor needed vacuumed badly and the trashes near the elevator were overflowing. We tried calling room service multiple times for lunch and nobody ever answered. We had a good view of downtown Reno from our room but we won't be starting here again.

Convenient for downtown
The hotel was good and the staff was very friendly. Especially the front desk but you can hear a lot of noises and the room service is not very good. My mom ate at the restaurant and said it was better. Overall we would stay there again if we had an event to attend

Cool atmosphere
Overall, the hotel stay was great. However, for the hospital being so new, there were caulking, grout, and tile issues in the bathroom. The tiling and counters were finished poorly...I don't know how the contractors work was approved for a hotel trying to keep high standards. The other problem was that they don't have their own parking garage and you have to park across the street and pay $5 a night. If they want to use a public parking garage they should at least take pride in keeping the elevator not looking trashy and dirty since that may be guests first exposure to the facilities of the hotel.
