Perfect stay for getting a special stay in charming downtown Walla Walla. Lovely little Walla Walla is a gem of a town. Located in the downtown district, you are in an ideal location for strolling by shops and wine tasting rooms, all within walking distance from the hotel. I knew this hotel is historic but I didn’t realize it when I booked my reservation that it was for the newer wing of the hotel. Lucky for me I spoke directly to the hotel and for a small additional per night charge I was able to get us moved to the old, original tower. Because of this, we were treated to gorgeous views from our windows. Also, I highly recommend planning to spend time in the lobby with the newspaper or a book and cup of coffee in the morning to soak up the beautiful architecture and decor. All in all a fantastic stay and highly recommend, especially if you can stay in the tower.

The Marcus Whitman always delivers! The friendly staff, beautiful lobby, excellent breakfast are just a few reasons we keep returning. The short walk to downtown wineries and restaurants is always a plus.

Absolutely gorgeous facility. I love that they are keeping with the historic feel and authenticity. Loved the art on the second floor, and the original phone booths in the lobby and the grand piano.

The convention side of the hotel is dated (carpets and card readers)…but the rooms are nicely updated. The thermostat setting did not work, much hotter than 67 degree setting. The lobby is well maintained. The breakfast is nothing special…wish we would have gone out
