Ideal Location and Terrific Staff
This hotel is ideally situated for people attending events at the Philadelphia Convention Center. It is currently undergoing updating and refurbishing, and our room had just been completely updated. It was comfortable and immaculate, equipped with a microwave oven and small refrigerator. The staff was friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to have us stay. The hotel is close to many interesting tourist sites, and we would stay here again -- a great visit to the Philadelphia Flower Show!

Great Staff
This is the third time we've stayed at this hotel while in town for the same event - and we keep coming back because we're so pleased with the accommodations. I would like to particularly mention Altin, who took care of three engineering issues during our stay (phone; safe; toilet) and Stephanie, who works the breakfast room and has the most delightful energy and spirit (which I remembered from last year). Glad to see a refrigerator and microwave in the room, although the remodel introduced an ottoman at the expense of sufficient clothing storage. I'm not sure I'll be doing the event again but, if I do, I will definitely be staying at the Hampton Inn Center City.

Everything was great - except for Patriot Parking
This was my first time staying in Philadelphia, and it was very pleasant. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and considerate. The room was very comfortable. The bathtub has some rust around the faucet, but we were not too bothered by it. We did not go to breakfast, but it was nice to be offered. We were only about a five minute walking from the Terminal Market. Across the street was a sort of sketchy convenience store, but it was a great option for a late night snack. The one negative experience would be the "parking lot". It was a very busy night for them, but they were very unprofessional. We were waiting for a spot when a staff member backed up into my boyfriend's car. There was no damage, but they seemed to want to get us out of there as soon as possible after that. When my boyfriend got out of the car to see what was going on, a staff member just jumped in (with me still in the car, mind you), threw it in reverse, and literally zoomed back towards a spot. I'm sure he knew what he was doing - but it was a little scary. Then they had the nerve to still collect $30 from us, even though there was a sign that said $25 event parking (and AFTER someone hit my boyfriend's car). I can only image what happens to cars as they move them throughout the day. If you stay here, opt for a parking garage. Hampton Inn should rethink whatever affiliation they have with that lot.

Great Experience
Hampton Inn was great! While we were there the pool was undergoing renovations which was a bummer, but I hope it turns out great. The complimentary breakfast was also really good! They had a different hot selection each morning we were there, so it gave you some nice variety. The hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. It was also really close to a lot of restaurants (mostly Chinese/Japanese so if that's your cuisine of choice I would highly recommend this location!). The only negative things I can say is that there was no mini fridge in our room (not sure if that's an option for other rooms) so you won't be able to keep food from restaurants or bring your own, and the valet parking was $40 a night which seemed a little steep to me. Otherwise I give this hotel a 5/5 and would definitely stay here again.
