Hotel Doria
Hotel Doria is a charming small hotel. Our room was small but comfortable, very clean. The only negative is the extremely small cage elevator which looked like it could barely fit one person.. I refused to use it so had to walk up and down the stairs which are slippery. My adult son did slip and fall. It is just a short walk to the train station. Great location, close to good restaurants and shops.

Great stay. 2nd time there. Within walking distance to many sites. Good restaurants and bars near by. When I go back I will stay here again.

Rome vacation
Hotel Doria is at a good location, close to the metro stop Vitorio (less than 4 min walk). There are a couple of supermarkets right around the hotel. You can hop on the metro and get to all the attractions in Rome. ( Barberini station for Trevi Fountain/pantheon area, Spagna station for Spanish steps area). This hotel is only a 15 min walk from the Coloseum area. Breakfast is good and the staff are friendly.

Excellent Location for Exploring Rome
The hotel was conveniently located by the Plaza de Santa Maria San Maggiore and a short walk from the train station. The second floor reception was a struggle with our bags but the front desk was quite helpful. Staff was helpful with directions and a map. The elevator was tiny - it took two trips to get the bags up to our floor. I opted for the stairs. The room was small but comfortable. The bath was tiny and the shower had me wondering how I could ever wash my feet. I cannot fathom how a larger person would fit. But it is Rome after all. The continental breakfast was nice with a variety of foods in the European tradition. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace with incredible views of the City. We took the bus to the Trevi fountain and a taxi back to the hotel after exploring the area. We walked to the Coliseum though I wouldn't recommend it for the less hearty, particularly in the heat.
