Great Hotel and Breakfast
Everyone was friendly, they went of the way to make sure we were comfortable, the breakfast was awesome and they kept everything fresh.

Badly needs and Upgrade.
This Hotel was way overdue for an upgrade. The carpet was old and felt funky, tile in the bathroom the grout under the sink was light and everywhere else was much darker, which made it seem less clean. cracks at bottom of wall around tub. Very few electrical outlets and hard to find. The air from the a/c unit did not seem that fresh. The breakfast was not very good. The exercise/gym was not on site. The linnens were okay. The best thing about this Hotel, was the staff.

Just ok
Asked for rollaway but didn't get it in room for day 2 of stay then the solo clerk scrambled to find one. No towels in room so he had to scramble for them too. Fairly close to Park.

It's fine if you do not plan to use the pool
The hotel is a very standard Marriott chain hotel. Simple but has everything you need for a few days. Pros - The breakfast was good - hot scrambled eggs, sausage, veggie patties, yogurt, hot oatmeal, waffles. Room and bathroom are fairly clean and not too small. The Wi-Fi was free and quite fast. We were able to watch a Netflix movie without interruptions. Cons - The swimpool and hottub had the most dirty water I have ever seen in a public pool. I understand - California is experiencing drought. So if they cannot provide fresh water in the pool, they should close it. The water in hottub was so gray and dirty, that it was simply disgusting. There was no sign requiring people to take a shower before entering the pool so it looks like people come from hiking at the national park and jump in the pool to wash off the hiking dirt. Also, in the evening, the hotel is understaffed, so when we arrived at 9pm, we had to wait about 20 min for the clerk to show up. Apparently, she was alone and at the time was helping another guest somewhere in the hotel, so nobody was manning the registration desk.

Needs upgrading but good!
Good hotel, just need upgrading the front door needs to be change to a sliding door to make it easer for entrance with luggage. The elevator is too old and slow and the rooms and lobby area need to be upgraded as weell. Don't pay more than 120 to stay here as you would be overpaying. The full breakfast was great and the location near the freeway is good and quiet. There is a Denny's right in front of the hotel, an Applebee's across the street and a chevron gas station right in front as well. Pool was nice, but there is no fitness center. Gloria the cleaning lady was superb and very nice and friendly. I give Gloria 5 stars!! The hotel 4 and the front desk 4 as well.
