We adore Porches - we've been several times and each time it's as restful as ever. We love the sauna, hot tub, and heated pool along with the overall charming, historic atmosphere of this unique hotel. Breakfast is European, with good cheeses and bread and delicious smoked salmon.

The Porches is usually a bit more than we like to pay for lodging, so we took advantage of lower winter rates for a January stay to visit MASS MoCA. It was all we had hoped for -- clean and cozy, a short walk to the museum and dining downtown. And if we had known the pool was heated and open year-round, we would've brought our bathing suits!

Porches is in my top 5 accommodations EVER! generous, delicious breakfast, great coffee. The vibe was incredibly fun. Just across the street from Mass Moca. Walkable to everywhere. Bed and linens were quality and comfortable.
