Just lost the edge to be extra special
This Hall is set in lovely setting with large golf course. The hotel room we stayed in was spacious, however it was very old. In some aspects this was grand and special but there was also little details which made our stay slightly less impressive. It such details as the big bulky old CD player in the room, the carpets in the room were very warn and bedding felt old and warm too which doesn’t make you feel comfortable. There was no plug near kettle ended up plugging it in on the floor. The spa was also pretty small and poor really I would not go if you are wanting a spa day. On the hand the evening meal in the library restaurant was fantastic and would definitely recommend if you stay here to have your dinner included.

Recently went for a wedding so didn’t use the spa or golf facilities, venue and staff overall were excellent.

Fair 4.0
Having booked a “deal” through you, we were given a Garrett at the top of the hotel, we requested another room, but as we were on a deal they would allow us to upgrade to another without charge but were advised we may hear some moose as it was above the gym. They ere not wrong, 3 hours of it from 6pm Antilles 9 pm fortunately we ate out in between. E had however to eat in the club house as the menu was the same as previous day, and we had struggled to find something we wanted from it. The other*restaurant was inundated with a collection of men drinking obviously prior to some other function

Excellent dinner and spent time in the spa while the boys played golf. Very friendly and professional staff in a stunning setting. Gym was well equipped too.

Lovely hotel, poor service
Our stay here was marred by the poor service we received in the restaurant, both at dinner and breakfast. In the evening we ordered drinks in the room next to the restaurant which we had to ask for again. The starters were good but our main courses of steak weren't. I ordered medium to well done but the meat was well done on the outside and almost rare in the middle, it was also very tough. We were charged 10% service charge which my husband asked to be taken off the bill when we checked out because of the poor service at breakfast. The hotel itself is in a lovely setting with a terrace overlooking the golf course which is a lovely place to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. The spa is good and was not very busy. The room was lovely although it was a long walk from reception!

Great hotel for weekend break.
Great hotel with great restaurants in the hotel and bar. We tried the golf club restaurant but the food was a bit disappointing. Great WiFi signal throughout the hotel. My sat nav took me through a single track road for about 4 miles. Fortunately nothing coming the other way.
