Panorama Stay With Friends
We joined some friends from Europe for a four night stay. The hotel was just across the water from Venice, about a 20 minute ride by ACTV water bus to St. Marks square. The water bus was very frequent and reliable and added to the experience. The water bus terminal was right across the road from the hotel making for an easy 'commute'. Leaving the hussle and bussle of Venice late afternoon for a rest and a quiet evening at a local restaurant was very relaxing. The hotel staff was very welcoming and offered every assistance and advice. The breakfast was buffet style and offered a good variety of food. The hotel is not so large and the breakfast area was never crowded. The view from the restaurant window, across the road to the water, was very nice. A pleasant, relaxing stay in Venice!

Overrated
The staff was very friendly and the hotel met our need of a place we could drive to with easy access to the sights of Venice. Beyond that, though, there isn't much good to say, especially given the four star rating. Room was hot, even in February, but noisy with window open. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was equipped with ancient, no longer functional jacuzzi tub with grimy, moldy jets. No enclosure and only handheld shower head meant showering sitting down in the tub to minimize mess. Rooms look like they haven't been updated in 30-40 years. Other the tub jets, rooms were clean. Breakfast mediocre at best. Location was convenient, right across the street from the vaporetto docks and a quick ride to San Marco.

Too Far
We didn't realize how far it was to get to Lido so infortunately soent a lot of time and money commuting to Venice. It was not wirth it. The hotel was average at best. The area does not offer anything and it was very noisy outside our window due to rowdy clients at the wine bar just below our window. Would not recommend this hotel

A night in lido
We stayed in Lido overnight and took the water taxi (autonoleggio) into Venice. The location was fantastic with a quick water taxi ride into San Marco. The hotel was older, but the staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. The room was a bit dated, and there was some Mild in the bathroom. The free breakfast was fantastic. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Panorama hotel
Staying on Lido and using the water taxi was great, I would recommend it, but not at this hotel. The staff at the Panorama was very nice, helpful, but the hotel had problems that could have been fixed, even for an older hotel. We had no hot water, showers were either luke warm, or even cold, unusable. My wife and I need the internet to keep up with our work even thought this was vacation, and it did not work in our room, the signal was extremely week and we had to go to the front lobby to get a signal, very inconvenient. The room was very warm, opening the window was noisy, and the A/C did not work, making it difficult to sleep. There were only two usable electric plugs in the room, and even they didn't work when you left the room, making it difficult to keep things charged.
