Fair 4.0
This poor hotel is worn out and way past due for a renovation. The upside...the staff was SUPER friendly and nice... all were friendly and smiling. Excellent customer service. I felt bad complaining about the room because they were so nice. The hotel is due for a complete renovation and it really was not worth what I paid. The breakfast had good variety and was above average and the lobby and public areas did not have unpleasant odors. Bad side...my room...gah! The furniture was old and looked dirty. I didn't want to sit on anything that was fabric. Just the desk chair. The bed linens were flat sheets over one of those polyfill things...not an actual duvet. The sheets were bright and looked clean but were cheap and pilly. The shower curtain rod was falling off of the bathroom wall and had been repaired several times. Apparently people hit it with the bathroom door but I'm not sure it was ever properly installed. The shower tile and floor had mold and stains. Two of the lampshades had holes in them. The carpet was old and dirty and felt dirty. I wore sandals. Surprisingly...no really bad smells. The ice and vending machine room only had a vending machine. No ice machine that I saw anywhere. The staff understands customer service. The corporation that owns this hotel though should be ashamed. NO PRIDE IN OWNERSHIP was what I saw at this hotel. It was a very poor value for the price. I will definitely check other hotels they own and never stay there

Good 6.0
Nice hotel, lacks customer service.
Check in was confusing and took too long for us being the only ones checking in. The first lady said "hi" and then spent the next 10 minutes trying to log in to the computer. Finally she went to go grab a manager to help her. They argued a bit about how to check us in an enter my credit card information. We got to our room keys and tried to go up in the elevators. Only after we asked we were told sternly by the manager that we needed to use the room key. She had to use her key to get us to our floor, not knowing at the time because our room key did not work. My husband had to go back downstairs to get the key programmed again. Hotel and room was nice and clean. I'm not sure I will stay here again because of the lack of customer service.

Poor 2.0
Did not see any note that they were under renovation. My arrival started with having to wait 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. Then I had to make it to work but couldn't get out of the hotel because the elevators were all being used by the renovation team. One elevator opened up and it was full of carpets and a hispanic male sleeping on top of the carpet (with the renovation team). A black female who worked front desk walked by and visibly saw me confused and trying to find a way to get to the parking garage. She gave me a not-so-nice glare and then proceded to ignore me running around frantically. Then she walked by again and I asked how to get to the garage. She showed me the way to a stairwell, which only went up to the rooms. I told her that the stairwell she showed me to wasn't the right one. Her reply was "Well I guess you just have to wait longer for the elevator then, don't you?" I had not time to wait at all. I kept searching for an exit to no avail. I walked back to ask her how to get out of the hotel at all and she shook her head at me. Eventually the white male with glasses at the front desk realized what was happening and advised me the door to exit was RIGHT NEXT TO THE WOMAN WHO WAS REFUSING TO HELP! I have never felt so furious about anything. My room was also directly below a room that had renovations each morning starting at 9am. I was in town to work overnights so I got no sleep at all.

Very Good 8.0
The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. One even loaned her umbrella to us as it was raining when we were leaving to get some dinner down the street. One suggested a place for supper the second night which was a few blocks away. The restaurant was fantastic. Our room was very clean. One thing I did not care for paying per day for parking. A sign in hotel parking stated that the hotel was not responsible for your vehicle while parked there. Not sure what I was paying.

Great Staff but Hotel needs TLC
The room heater rattled a lot. The main door to the room looked like it had been kicked in at one point as the frame was bent and the door latch was busted. The drain in the shower was also about 90% clogged so even a 5 minute shower became a bath. The morning breakfast was OK. It was truly the staff that made this a great stay. All the ladies at the front desk were wonderful. Without that staff, I probably would have destroyed this review. Also, it only took about 2-3 minutes to grab an Uber from that location which was also nice.
