Special features

Located on a small lake and set on stilts in the resort's tropical gardens, the Manea Spa combines traditional Tahitian architecture with modern facilities. The timber treatment rooms are accented by coconut tree, kaori, bamboo, and lava stone. There are eight treatment rooms, a twin-table open-air Vichy shower, and a beauty salon for manicures, pedicures, and facials. There is also a salon for tattoos. A VIP suite offers two massage tables, spa and bath, washroom and shower, and throne-like armchairs. There are also two steam rooms and two saunas. The relaxation pavilion has air conditioning, as does the adjacent fitness centre. Click the links below for more details.
The philosophy of Manea Spa incorporates the traditional art of Polynesian massage, taurumi, which creates harmony of body and mind and uses local island ingredients including sandalwood, tiare flower, ylang ylang flower, and monoi (scented oil). Its philosophy is based on the symbiosis of nature and the environment and uses ancient techniques and gestures, many of which were once reserved for Tahitian royalty. Signature treatments are the Avae Tarumi (barefoot body work), Moanarumi (aquatic rejuvenations). and Monoi Ofai (hot stone healing).
Manea Spa products are made exclusively in Tahiti with a formula based on natural properties of regional flowers and plants, such as tiare, vanilla, sandalwood, and coconut.

I've never enjoyed myself as much as I did at the Pearl. It is truly the MOST STUNNING PROPERTY I'VE EVER SEEN! I've been to other islands and tropical places. This place is like falling into a dream that is too good to be real. The staff was delightful, the spa was idyllic and it was so peaceful. It was mainly couples, very few kids. Makes a great trip with your favorite girlfriend and/or gay. There is hardly anything to do outside of the resort, which is perfect. They make it easy to lounge and be pampered. So friendly and the closest thing to heaven on Earth.

Perfect vacation!!! Perfect....
Our stay was perfect! To a personalized arrival and welcoming. Our bungalow was amazing worth every penny. Our luggage was taken to our room, turn down service was a pleasant surprise with bottled water for the night all while we were at dinner. Food was really good...someone had mentioned the food was subpar (well that person should have stayed at the Four Season for 3 times the rate). Pearl beach staff was friendly and welcoming at every interaction. I was here on a family vacation and felt more like a second honeymoon. Very romantic I'm recommending this place to everyone...

Amazing Wedding Anniversary!
Husband and I had a wonderful 5th wedding anniv here!! The transport from the airport was amazing. Check in was easy. We arrived 2hrs before check in time and our room was ready. We were escorted to our end of pontoon bungalow (#15) and felt very lucky to be at the tip. Room was impeccable, views were breathtaking. The first 2 nights, wifi only worked in the lobby and our bungalow deck. We noticed them adding more anetnnas throughout the resort and we ended up having good wifi service in the room on our last 2 nights. Food is expensive, but serving is big. People complain about the food here, but hubby and I personally loved it!! The only downside is there are only 3 restaurants in the resort. Loved the cocktails and hubby loved the beer! All sport activities except jetski are free of use! Free boat transfer to the small town of Vaitape but bus costs $36 RT for 2. Worth the trip though! They surprised us with a lovely dessert in our room on our anniversary. We were supposed to have the romantic exclusive dinner by the beach but it rained, so they set up a private table in the restaurant away from people. Staff are very sweet and helpful. I got a Polynesian tattoo on our last day and the artist did really good! The last 2 days were rainy and windy, but then again, that's why January is lean season. We will definitely come back here again in the future, but might try St. Regis or Four Seasons next time just for comparison.

Very Good8.0
Stunning location
Resort is in a spectacular location, facilities are good, a little tired looking in some areas but reasonably well maintained. Transfers to the airport via hotel's boat service were quite expensive and delay in departure was a frustration.
