Convenient location except for roadwork.
This motel was conveniently located to all attractions in the Manitou Springs area. The biggest problem was the work being done on the road. It was a big mess and not the motel's fault.

Meh. At least I saved some money.
So this place was just ok. The room was always very clean, which considering its condition (everything was OLD) made the stay much better. The lamps were really old and one broke while trying to push the switch on. No outlets accessible from the bed. This place is a motel, and there were lots of smokers and talkers hanging out outside the rooms. Not exactly restful. The WiFi didn’t work for the entirety of our three-night stay. And the parking spots in front of our room were slanted so that getting out was a huge hassle. Also, just skip breakfast. There’s a Starbucks right down the road. Some nice features: the pool is outdoors and has a mountain view. Price was cheap for the area. Probably wouldn’t stay here again if I came back to Colorado Springs.

Worth the stay
I booked 10 months prior to our visit. As the time got closer, I checked reviews again and began to worry 🙊 Sadly, I chose the cheapest route and had booked a non-refundable rate. Well, I have to say, I personally am glad we chose here. Are there nicer places in the area, yes! But this lil place, fits into it's surroundings of Manitou Springs. The city itself has a Native American vibe with their buildings and so does this lodge (on the outside at least). When we arrived at check in time, the owner says, "I missed you guys." We've never been here so we were a bit confused. Beings as I had booked so early, our reservation has gotten lost. Luckily, he had noticed prior to our arrival and a friend of theirs had checked out (or were asked to for our stay 😂) and we received a lovely room. I originally booked a king room and received only a queen, but the location made up for it. We were placed in a room with a patio that opened up to their pool. The room is a bit dated and has some 'blemishes' but very comfortable. The air worked well. Water pressure and temperature was good. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Cereal, toast, fruit, coffee, milk, juice. Parking is a bit of a cramp, but there's no other space they can get to make this better. Manitou Springs is a very tight town, leaving very little space between businesses/buildings. There was major road construction in front of the lodge but this doesn't reflect on them. (Clutter in pics is ours, sorry)
