Place is clean. Staff is hardworking. Practical not homey feel. The sitting room was a bit dark. We had a room with a nice view of the waterfront. Shower could use an update one setting (good for tall people) is bit outdated as more versatile options are available priced within reason. We were charged for three day parking initially even though we were there for two nights and less than 48 hours. Seems like it was fixed on the bill after a phone call. I will have to check on card statement. We do not consume alcoholic bevarages but saw staff getting real short with people who were there to partake in the complimentary drinks etc. Not sure of the situation but, was little off putting to see. Something to do with it was 5 after 7 and person claiming they were there before 7 and waiting etc. Plenty of wipes available along with hand sanitizing stations. Breakfast was very well presented with a lot of healthy options. Made to order staff along with all helpers were very cheerful and invited guests in a friendly manner. Front desk workers seemed overworked. Cleaning crew stayed on top of the game for duration of our stay. We enjoyed our walk down to various tourist locations as the property was very centrally located. Saw some homeless folks this time around but far less than our previous vists to Chicago. Either the assistance programs are working or the city has become better to mask the issue. I am hoping it is more of the former. Our stay at the hotel was simply good.
