Under renovations but a good deal
Hotel is under renovations which is fine. Staff was great, breakfast was forgettable, room and hallway renovations were fine but not smartly thought out. Room numbers were written on painter's tape on doors. No towel racks or anything to hang towels on in bathroom. Water pressure was non-existent in shower (which if you are paying 1000's to renovate the place, is a cheap fix with a new shower head). Otherwise it was 80$ a night and felt like an 80$ a night hotel. Definitely go to the Lebanese restaurant right out front. Great food, super authentic and great staff. DO NOT go to the very mediocre Stony Hill Diner. Not sure how it has stayed open all these years (I grew up in the area).

Who needs to Vape when fresh paint fumes linger!
First off the room was very clean. It was also a handicapped room so the bathroom was equipped as such. The hotel is in a remodeling mode. The walls in the hallway were being painted as we checked in. There was no drop cloths on carpeting so there was at paint on the carpet. There will be new carpeting soon I guess. There is an Ikea type cabinet to place your clothes in a cubby type spot. No hangars or a bar to hang any clothes. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in the atmosphere of the remodeling. If the room wasnt as clean as it was we would have left, but the room suited our needs. It may have not been cost effective to close the hotel down during the renovation, but we should have been given notice prior to arrival on a Saturday afternoon. The hotel was sold out for the night so we weren't the only patrons who stayed.
