Great location but dire rooms. Ok for budget but don't expect anything relative to comfort.

Very disappointed
Would not stay here again, Hotel is very untidy and run down. Rooms are dirty and need refurbishing. Our view was blocked by scaffolding, we were not told about this prior to booking.

Location brilliant but the hotel has been excellent at one point in it's lifetime, but has been allowed to deteriorate badly. Chairs burst, varnish on tables worn away. Smell of dampness probably from The floods, but should be fixed by now. Breakfast should have been included for the price. Staff very nice and helpful. Kept the bar open till 2 which was nice for a night cap

Great location, dated hotel, comfortable beds
I chose to stay at this hotel due to its location and the fact that it had smoking rooms. Having lived in Brighton for many years, I knew the location of the hotel pretty well and I was just looking for somewhere to stay for 2 nights. When I searched for hotels, I came across the hotel's pricing was absolutely amazing so I decided to give it a go. When you enter the hotel, you notice the decoration is a bit dated. This applies throughout the hotel including the rooms. They still have one of those old style tvs in the room. But the fact that I was able to book a smoking room was very important to me. The reception was very friendly and I have enjoyed my stay massively. Will book it again.

Great location
I use this hotel quite a lot - it is in poor condition but the staff do their best to maintain it - the rooms are always very clean and staff are helpful - I would however never pay the full rate for the accommodation but always look for deals
